What is EPINS® CashOut?

EPINS® CashOut is an additional service leveraging on the existing EPINS® infrastructure. EPINS® CashOut provides eligible customers with the added convenience of withdrawing cash at participating merchants' outlets. Withdrawal(s) will be directly debited from your Maybank Savings or Current Account, simply by entering your ATM PIN. Cash will be given to you instantly by the cashier at the participating merchants' outlets.

What is the difference between EPINS® CashOut and withdrawal from an ATM machine?

EPINS® CashOut and withdrawal from an ATM machine works on the same concept. You will be able to withdraw cash and the withdrawal amount will be directly debited from your Maybank Savings or Current Account.

EPINS ® CashOut allows you to withdraw cash at all SingPost Post Offices island-wide.

Who can use EPINS® CashOut service?

You can use this service if you hold a Singapore-issued Maybank ATM Card, Platinum Debit Card and Credit Card linked to a Savings or Current Account.

Are there any transaction fees for using EPINS® CashOut service?

There will be no transaction fees for withdrawing cash using EPINS® CashOut.

How do I request for EPINS® CashOut service?

Simply inform the cashier the amount you would like to withdraw. Withdrawal(s) will be directly debited from your Maybank Savings or Current Account and in exchange, cash will be given to you instantly by the cashier. The transaction will be verified with the PIN number of your card.

Kindly note that you may be required to meet a minimum purchase amount1 before you can utilise EPINS® CashOut.

What is the minimum / maximum withdrawal amount via EPINS® CashOut at a specific merchant outlet?

The withdrawal amount via EPINS® CashOut is capped at S$300 daily.

What is the daily limit for withdrawal via EPINS® CashOut?

EPINS® CashOut, like the EPINS® service, is one form of Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sales(EFTPOS). The daily transaction limit for all EFTPOS payments, regardless of channel or merchant outlet, is S$3,000.

For EPINS® CashOut alone, the daily withdrawal limit is capped at S$300.

For example, if you use your Maybank ATM or Debit Card to make a S$10 EPINS® retail purchase at Singpost Post Office, followed by a S$200 EPINS® CashOut withdrawal, you would have utilised S$210 of the S$3,000 EFTPOS daily limit.

In this instance, you would also have utilised S$200 of the S$300 daily EPINS® CashOut withdrawal limit.

Will there be any change in the daily cash withdrawal limit of my ATM card?

No, there will be no change as the daily cash withdrawal limit that you have set with your bank is a separate limit from the daily Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sales (EFTPOS) payment limit. EPINS® CashOut, like the EPINS® service, is one form of EFTPOS.

Do I need to change my ATM card in order to enjoy EPINS® CashOut service?

No change of card is required. You can continue to use your existing ATM or Debit Card* to make withdrawal via EPINS® CashOut.

Where are the participating outlets that supports EPINS® CashOut service?

Look out for the EPINS® CashOut logo, which will be placed either at the entrance and/or near the cashier counters of the retail outlets.

Can I use a Malaysia-issued Maybank ATM Card, Debit Card or Credit Card linked to a Savings or Current Account for EPINS® CashOut?

No, you can only use Singapore-issued Maybank ATM or Debit Card*.

Can I choose to debit from my Maybank Current Account instead of my Maybank Savings Account?

Yes, you can choose from your Current or Savings Account with the bank. If a customer keys in the PIN without selecting the account type, payment will be debited from the default account.

How do I know if withdrawal has been successful?

You will see the word "APPROVED" at the end of the transaction receipt.

Are there any security features for EPINS® CashOut to prevent unauthorised usage?

Like all ATM machines, EPINS® CashOut recognises customers through their Personal Identification Number (PIN). A correct PIN has to be keyed into EPINS® CashOut reader before the transaction will be approved.
