What is EPINS®?

EPINS® is a PIN (Personal Identification Number) - based debit payment service in Singapore. This service is offered in partnership with Qualifying Full Banks1 (QFBs) through Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale (EFTPOS) terminals. You can make payment for your purchases at the participating outlets via EPINS® using your existing ATM or Debit Card2 linked to a Savings or Current account. The transaction will be verified with the PIN number of your card.

How do I know if the outlet accepts EPINS® for payment?

Look out for the EPINS® logo, which will be placed either at the entrance and/or near the cashier counters of the retail outlets.

What is the transaction limit for payments via EPINS®?

EPINS® is a form of Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sales (EFTPOS). The daily transaction limit for all EFTPOS payments, regardless of channel or merchant outlet, is S$3,000. For example, if you use your ATM or Debit Card* to make a bill payment of S$1,000 at the AXS Station, followed by a S$500 EPINS® retail purchase at Cold Storage, you would have utilised S$1,500 of the S$3,000 daily limit.

Will there be any change in the daily cash withdrawal limit of my ATM card?

No, there will be no change.

The daily cash withdrawal limit that you have set with your bank is a separate limit from the daily Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sales (EFTPOS) payment limit.
